A women only boxing class for all fitness levels and abilities.

TUESDAY 18.15 – 19.15 + FRIDAY 17.45 – 18.45 (FEMALE Age 17 +)

Our female only boxing class is perfect for you ladies looking to begin boxing training and keep fit without getting hit. Our experienced female boxing coach will be with you all the way with expert guidance and motivation to push you through to the end. The class is suitable for all levels of fitness as the class is coached to ensure you to train to your own goals and limits. The class will involve basic boxing techniques, shadow boxing, punchbag work, circuit training and skipping.

Over the years it has proven such a popular class with female members as it is a great way to lose weight, build confidence and learn self-defence - it is also a fantastic stress reliever. Boxing is a great mental work out - there is nothing like pounding a heavy punchbag to clear your head and it is a lot cheaper than therapy!

With such an electric authentic environment, these classes are guaranteed to be fun, enjoyable, and motivational. The classes are strictly ladies only and non-contact meaning no sparring or to simply put it nobody is going to give you a black eye!

Please check out our Guide to Getting Started before attending the gym for the first time.  It’s important you sign up via our online membership prior to attending the first time to ensure all the necessary forms are completed. This saves a lot of time and delay when you attend the gym for the first time as our reception can be very busy.

Membership is required or £10.00 one off fee for your first time to try it out. Please sign up now to get all the paperwork out of the way and avoid delays for when you attend. Once you have signed up then please either use the Timetable section of the website or download the TeamUp Members app to your smart phone to book classes in the future and manage your membership.

How do I book for the class?

To book a class just go to the Timetable page of our website or download the free TeamUp Members App.

I’m a female beginner is this class best for me?

Yes it is. Our female coach will be on hand to teach you the basics of boxing to get you started.

Do I need any prior boxing experience?

Not at all. In fact, most of our members are absolute beginners and come to us having never put boxing gloves on before.

What should I wear?

In your first visit to the gym, you need to bring basic training gear consisting of trainers, shorts or tracksuit bottoms, t-shirt or sweatshirt and a bottle of water (on sale at the gym) to keep you hydrated.

What equipment do I need for this class?

You will need hand wraps (worn underneath the gloves) to protect your hands whilst punching the bags and a skipping rope, these can be purchased at our online store or at the gym for £5 each. Due to Covid-19 we are currently unavailable to lend out gloves so you must purchase your own pair of boxing gloves also on sale in our online store or at the gym starting from £20.
