Mixed class for serious boxers looking to box competitively for the amateur club.

MONDAY & WEDNESDAYS 18.15 – 19.30 (Age 10 – 16)

The Empire Amateur Boxing Club is one of the most iconic amateur boxing clubs in the country. Formed back in 1968 it played a huge role in the inner-city Bristol community over the past 50 years creating many champions along the way.

You can only join the Empire ABC Junior sessions if you have a serious ambition and experience to box competitively as an amateur boxer now or in the future. This is a mixed boxing class for children aged 10 - 16 who have prior boxing experience. Sparring is available supervised by ABA qualified trainers. Beginners are not allowed to attend this class and are advised to attend the Junior Boxing Lessons classes.

Please check out our Guide to Getting Started before attending the gym for the first time.  It’s important you sign your child up via our online membership prior to attending the first time to ensure all the necessary forms are completed. This saves a lot of time and delay when you attend the gym for the first time as our reception can be very busy.

£20.00 Joining Fee (includes a free Bristol Boxing Gym water bottle, hand wraps & a skipping rope). It’s vital your child has this equipment to ensure they can participate in all aspects of the class.

Once signed up to the membership, please then purchase the Junior Boxing Lessons £5 package that allows your child to attend for the week. You can then go to the Timetable or download the TeamUp Members app to your smart phone to register your child for the classes they will attend that week. This is the quickest and easiest way to sign up and register your child for classes each week and avoids any confusion at reception.
